He is currently working at Fırat University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Transportation and also serves as the Vice Rector. Having completed his undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies at Fırat University, Prof. Yılmaz has carried out many academic studies on asphalt pavements, bituminous binders, flexible pavement systems and the use of recycled materials in road construction within the scope of highway engineering, which is his area of expertise. He has published numerous articles, papers and projects at national and international level and is also involved in various infrastructure projects in cooperation with public institutions.

Prof. Dr. Baha Vural KÖK

He is a faculty member at Fırat University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Transportation. His specialty is highway engineering and his research interests include flexible pavement systems, modification of bituminous mixtures and performance analysis of asphalt pavements. During his academic career, he has published articles in many national and international journals, worked in various projects and supervised master and doctoral students. He is also the author of the book “Highway Engineering and Design”.

Prof. Dr. Taner ALATAŞ

He is a faculty member at Fırat University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Transportation. He is specialized in the field of highway transportation and his research interests include performance analysis of asphalt pavements, bitumen modification and sustainable road materials. During his academic career, he has published articles in various national and international journals, participated in projects and supervised master and doctoral students.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erkut YALÇIN

He is a faculty member at Fırat University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Transportation. After completing his undergraduate degree in Geological Engineering, he received his MSc and PhD degrees in Civil Engineering. During his PhD, he conducted research on self-healing asphalt mixtures using encapsulated curing agents in collaboration with the University of Nottingham, UK. His academic work is mainly focused on flexible pavements, asphalt technologies and sustainable road construction methods. He is also involved in TUBITAK projects and advises graduate students.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Özge Erdoğan YAMAÇ

She is a faculty member at Fırat University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Transportation. He received his bachelor’s degree from Fırat University, Department of Civil Engineering in 2012, followed by his master’s degree in 2015 and PhD degree in 2021 at the same university. His academic studies focus on topics such as highway flexible pavements, bituminous hot mixes and the use of recycled asphalt materials. During his PhD, he conducted research on the development of self-healing asphalt mixtures using encapsulated curing agents. In his academic publications, he conducts research on the use of bio-derived oils as rejuvenators in asphalt mixtures and performance characteristics of bituminous mixtures.

Research Assistant Dr. Beyza Furtana YALÇIN

She is currently working at Fırat University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Transportation. His academic studies focus on topics such as flexible highway pavements, bituminous hot mixtures and the use of recycled asphalt materials. He completed his master’s and doctoral education at Fırat University and during his doctoral studies, he conducted a thesis on “Development of self-healing asphalt mixtures using encapsulated curing agents” under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mehmet Yılmaz. In his academic publications, he conducts research on the use of biologically derived oils as rejuvenators in asphalt mixtures and performance properties of bituminous mixtures.
