Fırat University Transportation Engineering Research Center, as one of the most competent transportation materials laboratories in Turkey, carries out activities for both education and training and technical service purposes in line with the requests of public or private institutions. Quality control tests and mixture designs of materials (aggregates, bituminous binders and admixtures) used in sub-base, base and pavement layers of highway superstructure are carried out. Our laboratory, which actively serves in undergraduate and graduate education and research, also meets the analysis and design demands from the sectors working for application. In this context, studies are carried out to improve the structural properties of granular layers, flexible and rigid pavements (bituminous hot mix, roller compacted dry concrete pavement, etc.).
